Welcome to Tees Me T-shirt News

Tees Me T-shirt News is a unique new blog that we hope you'll find to be informative and entertaining. Our goal is to provide exposure to some of the world's most powerful t-shirt slogans. T-shirts get noticed, they are a form of advertising for your opinions, beliefs, likes, dislikes, an extension of your personality and a reflection of your lifestyle.

Printed t-shirts are so unique because they can change moods, open social doors, fend people off or create awareness. A tee can make you hero for day by changing someones frown upside down, help you to meet new friends, defend a cause and educate others.

Custom t-shirts are ever-evolving. As times change so do the slogans. When new fads, social or political problems surface new t-shirts are designed to meet the demand of the consumer. The idea being that custom printed t-shirts meet the individuals needs to express themselves.

Over the past few decades some t-shirt slogans have been the centre of controversy. A testing ground for community tolerance and free speech . Custom printed t-shirts can be a positive force or seen as a negative influence depending on the message and the interpretation of the viewer. What one person deems to be free speech another may find obscene, rude, offensive or inappropriate because it clashes with their programmed beliefs. Several people have even been arrested for wearing t-shirts like: Stephen Downs, age 61 who was arrested for wearing a t-shirt that said give Peace on Earth, Give Peace a Chance while in a shopping mall because it supposedly bothered other shoppers. Cindy Sheehan was arrested for wearing an anti-war t-shirt at a Bush State of the Union Address that said : 2,245 Dead. How many more? A 15 year of Laurel High School student was maced, assaulted and arrested for wearing a t-shirt that said: Stop snitching you have the right to remain silent and the list goes on. One thing is for certain that none of these people wore t-shirts that were obscene or offensive. They were merely exercising their right to free speech. Remember when we could do that prior to 9-11 without the fear of being arrested which brings me to why we are here.

While Tees Me T-shirt News does bring exposure to some of the funniest t-shirts on the web our greatest effort will be towards t-shirts that speak volumes. We are talking about tees that are controversial, that create awareness, inspire others or can be used as a tool to educate the masses.
