The Great American Strike April 15, 2008

The Great American Strike on April 15, 2008 is a tax protest day where people from all over the world plan to call in sick, stay at home with their friends and family, withdraw money from the bank, wear white armbands to help others identify them as an active protester and will refuse to spend any money or make any financial transactions on that day including buying gas.

After hearing about a movement sweeping the nation The Great American Strike April 15, 2008 Abolish IRS Tax Day a local friend decided to make t-shirts to help promote the cause. The t-shirts are on sale and have been marked down as low as possible to make them affordable to the public. The designer just wants to spread the message and help to get people involved. The American's on strike t-shirts are available at: http://www.zazzle.com/burntright/product/235900064942745142 . It should be noted that the designer has also donated this work to public domain so that people can print posters, post it on their websites or make brochures to help spread the word because the media will not pick up this story in effort to keep Americans from participating.

If you haven't yet seen the video click to watch. I would encourage anyone who finds this topic to be of interest to do further research on it themselves as there is an ton of evidence to support why collecting taxes is illegal despite the government's repeated claims that not only is it legal it is mandatory to pay.

We are proud to announce that a local Guelph, Ontario t-shirt designer has come up with the first economic depression t-shirts known to hit the internet. In speaking with the designer, he told us that the idea behind them was simple. The t-shirts are a product of current events. Whether people want to acknowledge it or not we are facing fragile times. The economy is not good despite statistics produced by the government. If you haven't yet felt the affects you probably don't believe anything is wrong but that simply isn't the case. Business's are closing, homes are being foreclosed, credit card debts are racking up, people are losing their jobs and it's all happening on a mass level. The media, banks and the government are all keeping people in a state of confusion to divert peoples attention and keep them spending. This year set a record number for people paying their income tax by credit card - that alone should tell you something about the monetary wellness of the citizens. The financial belt is tightening and it won't be long before it takes a strangle hold - when it does people will realize that this is no recession. We are facing an economic collapse otherwise known as an economic depression. The term recessioon has been played out in the media to avoid panic. People lived through the recession of the 80's and for many it was devasting but it didn't create a milestone in history to the same extent as the Great Depression. Therefore, by calling this predicted financial crisis a recession people can cope with it easier and continue to spend because they don't understand the seriousness of the issue. They think that tommorow will bring them what today did but the truth is it may not be that way for long.

I have several different designs most of which are to create awareness such as my Death of the dollar t-shirt which signifies the financial world as a money tree that has dried up leaving citizens in a life or death situation. Other designs like I witnessed the execution of the American Dollar the depression that can't be avoided and I bought this t-shirt on credit cuz I gotta look good for the depression are more of what I would call economic depression souvenirs. In addition to these I have designed t-shirts for people who have lost everything and want others to know that this isn't an isolated situation, to protect themselves because it could just as easily happen to them. People who've lost everything shouldn't be ashamed of it and as a spiritual being we have an obligation to educate others especially when the truth is being down-played. My foreclosure t-shirts, broke t-shirts and mobile homeless bumper stickers are designed to help spread the truth. The more people wear them the faster the truth will be can spread. So I urge people that if they know anyone who has recently faced foreclosure, was left broke, is homeless or living in their car to buy them a t-shirt or wear it yourself to get the attention of the citizens.

I have added several to different print on demand shops and they are selling like hot cakes. They seem to be the t-shirts everyone wants whether it is for a souvenir or to create awareness. I can only hope that they are this years top selling t-shirt designs. It would make me very happy to know people are out there taking a stand, spreading the truth, trying to make a difference and hopefully some people may even get the help they need from others. How can a spiritual being turn their back on someone wearing a Hungry t-shirt or Need help t-shirt?

Tees Me T-shirt news agrees that these Economic Depression T-shirts are a great way to voice your opinion about the Death of the Dollar, tell everyone about your foreclosure, speak about being homeless and send a powerful message to your government that an economic depression is underway and it isn't a recession. Help spread the word to prepare others for financial hardship during this economic meltdown and get the help you need by wearing these foreclosure t-shirts, hungry t-shirts, homeless bumper stickers, broke t-shirts, death of the dollar t-shirts and more.

Welcome to Tees Me T-shirt News

Tees Me T-shirt News is a unique new blog that we hope you'll find to be informative and entertaining. Our goal is to provide exposure to some of the world's most powerful t-shirt slogans. T-shirts get noticed, they are a form of advertising for your opinions, beliefs, likes, dislikes, an extension of your personality and a reflection of your lifestyle.

Printed t-shirts are so unique because they can change moods, open social doors, fend people off or create awareness. A tee can make you hero for day by changing someones frown upside down, help you to meet new friends, defend a cause and educate others.

Custom t-shirts are ever-evolving. As times change so do the slogans. When new fads, social or political problems surface new t-shirts are designed to meet the demand of the consumer. The idea being that custom printed t-shirts meet the individuals needs to express themselves.

Over the past few decades some t-shirt slogans have been the centre of controversy. A testing ground for community tolerance and free speech . Custom printed t-shirts can be a positive force or seen as a negative influence depending on the message and the interpretation of the viewer. What one person deems to be free speech another may find obscene, rude, offensive or inappropriate because it clashes with their programmed beliefs. Several people have even been arrested for wearing t-shirts like: Stephen Downs, age 61 who was arrested for wearing a t-shirt that said give Peace on Earth, Give Peace a Chance while in a shopping mall because it supposedly bothered other shoppers. Cindy Sheehan was arrested for wearing an anti-war t-shirt at a Bush State of the Union Address that said : 2,245 Dead. How many more? A 15 year of Laurel High School student was maced, assaulted and arrested for wearing a t-shirt that said: Stop snitching you have the right to remain silent and the list goes on. One thing is for certain that none of these people wore t-shirts that were obscene or offensive. They were merely exercising their right to free speech. Remember when we could do that prior to 9-11 without the fear of being arrested which brings me to why we are here.

While Tees Me T-shirt News does bring exposure to some of the funniest t-shirts on the web our greatest effort will be towards t-shirts that speak volumes. We are talking about tees that are controversial, that create awareness, inspire others or can be used as a tool to educate the masses.
