The Great American Strike on April 15, 2008 is a tax protest day where people from all over the world plan to call in sick, stay at home with their friends and family, withdraw money from the bank, wear white armbands to help others identify them as an active protester and will refuse to spend any money or make any financial transactions on that day including buying gas.
After hearing about a movement sweeping the nation The Great American Strike April 15, 2008 Abolish IRS Tax Day a local friend decided to make t-shirts to help promote the cause. The t-shirts are on sale and have been marked down as low as possible to make them affordable to the public. The designer just wants to spread the message and help to get people involved. The American's on strike t-shirts are available at: http://www.zazzle.com/burntright/product/235900064942745142 . It should be noted that the designer has also donated this work to public domain so that people can print posters, post it on their websites or make brochures to help spread the word because the media will not pick up this story in effort to keep Americans from participating.
If you haven't yet seen the video click to watch. I would encourage anyone who finds this topic to be of interest to do further research on it themselves as there is an ton of evidence to support why collecting taxes is illegal despite the government's repeated claims that not only is it legal it is mandatory to pay.
